What is it?

This class is the first of several college-level calculus courses.  It is a pure mathematics course focused on the topic of functions that analyze rates of change through the use of limits, derivatives, and integrals.

What do you need before taking this course?

You should bring a solid core of understanding of these topics:
  • Algebraic and Graphical Knowledge of Specific Functions such as:
    • linear, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic,
    • trigonometric, inverse trigonometric, and piecewise – defined
  • The Language of Functions:
    •  domain, range, even, odd, periodic, symmetry, zeros, and intercepts
  • Trigonometry Functions and the Unit Circle
Who should take it?

MOTIVATED students who successfully complete Pre-Calculus. 
You must have an EXCELLENT WORK ETHIC and DESIRE to EXCEL.
