The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 17th from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. Ticket prices for today and Thursday are $18.00 for singles w/ASB sticker and $20.00 w/out. Couples are $33.00 w/ASB sticker and $35.00 w/out. The last day to purchase tickets is Thursday, October 15th. Don’t forget to get guest passes from the VP secretaries. Students on the LOP (loss of privilege) list will not be allowed to attend.

STAFF COLLEGE WEAR DAY FACT #2: According to the ACT website, the ACT and SAT are college-admission tests that measure similar but distinct constructs. The ACT measures achievement related to high school curricula, whereas the SAT measures general verbal and quantitative reasoning. Students should take the ACT, SAT, or both between the second semester of their junior year and the first few months of their senior year.

When you begin researching the application requirements for the college you wish to attend, find out which college-admission test the school prefers. Community Service Opportunity: Meet at the corner of East Park Avenue and Roanoke Road in El Cajon on October 24th from 9-11am. Together we will support the Make a Difference Day mission of neighbors helping neighbors by removing trash, identifying graffiti, properly recycling electronic waste, and collecting usable household donation items for the San Diego Rescue Mission. It promises to be a fun and rewarding morning! For more information and a waiver (if under 18), see Mrs. Pratt in Counseling.

INKWELL: West Hills' creative writing literary magazine is up and running! If you are interested in participating or just want to see what it's all about, come to our first meeting in E-7 Thursday, October 22 at lunch. Artists, writers, photographers, everyone is welcome.

Attention Wolf Pack: Anyone interested in wrestling the Wolf Pack Express Wrestling Club meets Monday through Thursday from 3-6 pm in the Gymnastics room (located on the west end of the gym). Challenge yourself and become a member of the Wolf Pack wrestling team.

PSAT testing will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on WHHS campus for all 9th through 11th grade students. Cost is $18.00 cash payable directly to the Finance Office. PSAT is a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT®. It also gives you a chance to enter NMSC scholarship programs and gain access to college and career planning tools. Don't miss out on this important opportunity!

Students Who Purchased A Parking Space need to submit their paperwork (both pages with your signatures and design) to the Assistant Principal's secretaries no later than Wednesday, October 14, 2009. All purchases spaces will officially begin on October 31st 2009. Don't be late or you will lose your space!

Last Call For Seniors (1st. served) or Juniors (2nd. served) for purchasing one of the 11 parking spaces left. 9 of the spaces start @ $20.00 and the 2 premium spaces start @ $50.00. Come to room SS5 at lunch or after school with cash and ID card to bid on your parking space! A map of the parking spaces will be available in room SS5.

Make-Up Picture Days At Boyd Anderson Studio: Again this year, we will be offering picture make-up days the first

Saturday of every month at our studio in Santee and in addition to those days we are offering two additional dates to accommodate those parents and their students. The two additional dates and times at the studio are:

Girls’ Golf: The Pack climbed back into contention for a league championship. Freshman Daniella Fairbank wins by 10 strokes to tie the match at 255, taking the match to a card off and sophomore Kristelle Villa beats her opponent by 4 shots, sealing a victory over Steele Canyon putting the Pack at 14-1, 5-1 in league. Good luck this week vs. Grossmont and Helix.

The National Christian College Fairs provide students and their parents with information and guidance concerning the opportunities available at Christian colleges/universities and Bible colleges located throughout the United States and Canada. San Diego's fair will be October 15, 6-8 p.m. at Horizon Christian Fellowship. Admission is free, and includes a financial aid workshop.

Young Women's Leadership Workshop Series Presents: Branding Beautiful You! Marcy Morrison of "Careers with Wings" will teach girls how to identify their strengths, values and gifts. Learn how to put your best foot forward and get in the running for life's great opportunities at this workshop November 7th, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Seating is limited. Teens-Sharp Hospice Care needs you! Would you like valuable experience to put on your college and scholarship applications? If you want to make a difference and have a loving heart, this volunteer opportunity is for you. Miss Teenage California is seeking potential candidates. Their program stresses education, and encourages personal development, leadership, and scholastic achievement.
