Red Ribbon Scavenger Hunt: Throughout this week look for the facts around campus, write them down, and turn them into the ASB room by Friday at lunch. The person with the most facts gets a prize!
Red Ribbon Dress Up Days: Wear your band tee shirt on Wednesday, wear a sports shirt on Thursday, and wear your Halloween costume on Friday.
Halloween Costumes on Friday must follow the school dress code including no masks or weapons.
College-Wear Day Fact #4: Not every student can be admitted to his or her first-choice campus. Applying to more than one campus can significantly increase your chances of being admitted to a campus that, while not your first choice, will enable you to fulfill your educational goals. The UC (University of California) System provides applicants with a single application to make it easy for you to apply to more than one campus. The deadline for applicants who wish to start in the Fall of 2010 is November 30.

Yearbook Prices Are Going Up December 1st: Purchase your yearbook today in the finance office to save money. The cost of the book is $85.00. Congratulations to your Color Guard who took 1st in BOTH parade and field competition and Band who received 2nd place in BOTH parade and field with an overall combined score receiving 1st place! Way to go Band and Color Guard! Mark your calendar now to come out and see them at their next competition scheduled for Saturday, November 7th at Mira Mesa High School.
Attention All Students With Work Permits: Your school attendance is reviewed at the end of each grading period. If you have accumulated 6 or more period absences, tardies, and/or truancies your work permit will be restricted which means you will be permitted to work only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Your current GPA is also reviewed. A student whose GPA falls below a 2.0 will be issued a restricted work permit. Please remember, “School is your first job!”
National Novel Writing Month is in November! If you are a student and would like to try writing a novel in one month, take the challenge...if you finish your word count goal (12,000 plus) you can have your novel printed FREE and sent to you FREE! PHYSICIAN SPORTS PHYSICALS will be doing physicals on November 4th at Mira Mesa HS (Nurse's Office) from 2pm-3pm. ALL ARE WELCOME! Just bring school physical form and cash. Super convenient!
ATTENTION ATHLETES: El Capitan High School is offering sports physicals for Winter Sports Wednesday, November 4th at 1:30 pm in their Health Office. The cost is $20.00 cash. Loss Of Privilege (LOP) List: Students who fail to follow the expectations for appropriate behavior may be denied privileges such as attendance at Homecoming, athletic events, and any other school sponsored activity. Review the student handbook for additional information.
Attention Wolf Pack: Anyone interested in wrestling the Wolf Pack Express Wrestling Club meets Monday through Thursday from 3-6 pm in the Gymnastics room (located on the west end of the gym). Challenge yourself and become a member of the Wolf Pack wrestling team.

Senior Portraits: Attention Class of 2010, your senior portrait must be taken by our official photographer, BOYD ANDERSON PHOTOGRAPHY to appear in the senior section of the annual.
There is NO CHARGE to be photographed, but you must call or go on line to schedule an appointment at the studio. The web address is www.boydanderson.com and the studio's phone number is 619-444-1184. The studio is located in Santee (Mast & Cuyamaca).
Please make your appointment to be photographed as soon as possible because the deadline to be included in the yearbook is approaching.
