Math Club’s 2nd California Math League contest

"If you like puzzles and challenging your brain, then listen up! The WH Math Club proudly announces the 2nd California Math League contest of the school year will take place in M6 at lunch on Tuesday. Show up with something to write with, a calculator, and your lunch. All math levels are welcome."

Tutorials are running Monday through Thursday in the library from 3-4. Math offered daily, English and Science Tuesday and Thursday, Spanish Tuesday and Wednesday, Social Science Wednesday only. See schedule in library or on school website.

Your West Hills Drama Kids will perform “Saving The Greeks One Tragedy At A Time” November 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $6.00 for students and $8.00 for adults. Tickets may be purchased in the Finance Office.

Saturday School Correction Date: There is a Saturday School on Saturday, November 14th. There is no Saturday School on November 21st or November 24th.

Hey Pack! November is Premature Birth Awareness Month. Dress up next week to support the March Of Dimes in the fight to save babies. Monday, November 16th – look silly for babies (dress mismatched); Tuesday 17th – wear purple (the March of Dimes color); Wednesday 18th – dress up like a baby; Thursday 19th – Career Day (what did you want to be when you were younger?); Friday 20th – favorite TV show character as a kid.

Community Service Opportunity: Meet at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Chambers Street in El Cajon on Saturday, November 14th from 9-11am. Together we will support the mission of neighbors helping neighbors by removing trash, identifying graffiti, properly recycling electronic waste, and collecting usable household donation items for the San Diego Rescue Mission. Senior Cap And Gown Orders: Monday, November 16th and Tuesday, November 17th during lunch outside the Student Store. Don’t miss out!

Class Of 2012 Marie Callender’s Pie Fundraiser money and flyers are due Wednesday, November 18th. Vouchers and flyers will be passed out Friday, November 20th in the Black Circle.

West Hills PTSA proudly presents the Reflections Art Show this Friday, November 13, 2009 in the foyer before the Drama Production of “Saving the Greeks One Tragedy at a Time”. Box office opens at 6:00pm. You can enjoy the art show without staying for the production, but why not make a night of it?

Loss Of Privilege (LOP) List: Students who fail to follow the expectations for appropriate behavior may be denied privileges such as attendance at Homecoming, athletic events, and any other school sponsored activity. Review the student handbook for additional information.

Senior Portraits: Attention Class of 2010, your senior portrait must be taken by our official photographer, BOYD ANDERSON PHOTOGRAPHY to appear in the senior section of the annual.

There is NO CHARGE to be photographed, but you must call or go on line to schedule an appointment at the studio. The web address is www.boydanderson.com and the studio's phone number is 619-444-1184. The studio is located in Santee (Mast & Cuyamaca).

Please make your appointment to be photographed as soon as possible because the deadline to be included in the yearbook is approaching.
