In 2006 West Hills High School received a three-year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. In the 2008-09 school year, the staff of West Hills did a thorough examination of our practices. This introspection allowed the staff to identify its strengths and weakness and this has to lead to positive change.

Essential parts of this process involved creating an Action Plan that will guide our academic decisions and reaffirming what we have determined to be essential skills when studnets graduate from West Hills High School.

2009 Visit
The 2009 visit will occur on October 4-6. The school hopes to acquire the top accreditation available for this visit, three years. If that is acheived, we will go through this process once again in 2012, however, the top accreditation available at that time will be six years.
