Dress Code: Spring has sprung, the weather is warm, and everyone still must follow the school dress code!! Please no short shorts, short skirts or short dresses, no spaghetti straps or undergarments showing. Please review the student handbook for full details. The school dress code applies at dances as well. Remember that as you prepare for the upcoming MORP dance. Students will be turned away at the door if they are dressed inappropriately.

Cheer Meeting: There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Tuesday, April 24th (changed from April 18th) in room

S-8 at 7 pm. for those wishing to try out for cheer for the upcoming school year. Cheer packets will be handed out at the parent meeting. Athletic Clearance packets can be downloaded of the West Hills website.

To All Interested Students: The Readers and Writers Club is hosting an author visit in our library on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 8:15 - 9:55 (Period 2 during Block Scheduling). The presentation will feature panel discussions with popular authors of young adult literature, Stephanie Perkins(Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door), Gayle Forman (If I Stay, Where She Went), and Nina LaCour (Hold Still, The Disenchantments). The authors will discuss the writing process, character development and sign books at the end of the period. Please see Ms. Schreiber in the library for more information.

Free! San Diego National College Fair: Thursday, April 26th, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the San Diego Convention Center. 240 colleges will be attending. Meet one-on-one with college representatives who can answer your questions. Volunteer Opportunity: Cuyamaca College Ornamental Horticulture Department hosts the "Spring Garden Festival" on Saturday, April 28th. Volunteers are needed from now until the day of the event. They will assist the ornamental horticulture students spruce up the grounds and nursery and help growers with multiple tasks.
