West Hills Guitar and String Orchestra Club proudly presents its Spring Strictly Strings Concert Series. The beginning guitar classes and intermediate class will perform popular and contemporary music on Thursday, May 17th at 7pm. The Advanced Guitar and String Orchestra will perform styles and music from around the world on Saturday, May 19th at 7pm. Ticket prices are: Students $6 , Adults $8, Children 5 or under free.

Best Buddies Car Wash at Toyota of Santee: Saturday, May 19th from 10am to 3pm, our Club will be washing cars for donations only. Please drive your dirty cars to us so that we can make them shine!

Hey Seniors! Prom ‘s right around the corner, which means if you haven’t purchased your ticket yet, do so before prices go up to $75 May 1st, $80 May 15th, and $85 May 29th.

Guest Passes For The Prom: You must turn in your guest passes for the prom for administration approval at least one week before the prom or by June 1st. No last minute approvals. So arrange your dates and get those passes in ASAP!!!!

Seniors: If you have had 6 or more Alpha Plus awards please sign up in the VP's office for your Alpha Plus stole and a chance to be Hunter's Hero.

Over The Line: Saturday, May 19th at 10:00 am on the Football field. 4 people per team and $4 for registration. Winners will get prizes and all participants will get food. Sign ups will start next week at lunch in the Black Circle.

Seniors who have worked as an Office Assistant in Attendance, Counseling or Receptionist can apply for the Sherry Haiman Memorial Scholarship. Applications are available in those offices and at https://docs.google.com/a/guhsd.net/document/d/1ZBbgTfjrVsr8duS5KoM8dQSCVE5jM-zrPvLAEEAfg0s/edit

The 26th Annual Student Art Exhibit will be held at Westfield Parkway Plaza on May 18, 19 and 20. The opening reception and award ceremony is Friday evening May 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the J.C. Penney store at the corner of the mall.

Save the date! Senior Awards Night is Wednesday, June 13th. Seniors, be sure to complete your Senior Surveys and get them to your English teacher or to Counseling by Friday, May 18th.

Seniors Who Plan To Attend GROSSMONT COLLEGE In The FALL: The first step to enrollment is to complete an application for admission online at www.grossmont.edu, then register for the next Math and English assessment (next calendar is for June time slots). An orientation/advisement workshop will follow the assessment. The final step will be registration and class selection. If you need further assistance please contact Grossmont College Admissions & Records, 619-644-7186.

The Second Annual READ Poster Contest is up in the library. Come see posters from all of the photography students and vote for your favorite.

Key Club is having a Blood Drive in the Santee Library parking lot on Tuesday, May 29th from 1-7 pm. If you are 16 you need a permission slip. Sign-up in II-1 during break, lunch, or after school. Donors will be put in a raffle for 2 Ultra Star movie tickets and a concession gift card.

Youth-Citizenship Development Program SUMMER CAMP- DEVILPUPS at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, CA: Devil Pups Inc. if offering a free 10-day encampment with the US Marines, 7/5/12 - 7/14/2012. Boys/Girls must be between the ages of 14 and 17, and meet the program requirements. For details please visit www.devilpups.com or see the flyer posted in the Guidance Office.
