Attention all students who work part time jobs: All work permits expire on September 15, 2012. It is time for you to renew your work permit. Pick up a new work permit application form in the guidance office or front office ASAP. Complete the application and return to the guidance office. Your new work permit will be ready within 48 hours. GUHSD monitors GPA and attendance for all students who apply for or hold a work permit.
Picture Make-up Day: Last picture make-up day is Wednesday, September 19th in the gym foyer through lunch time.
ID Cards: pick up your ID Card at the Finance Office.
ASB Stickers: Buy your ASB sticker for $25 at the Finance Office and get in to home sporting events for free and score discounts on Dance and Performing Arts tickets. Big savings for just $25.
The SENIOR PARKING LOT AUCTION will be Wednesday, OCTOBER 3RD:
If you would like to have your own parking space, please pick up an information packet from Ms. Dissinger in room M-1, Ms. Young in room SS-4, or from our receptionist in the front office. All proceeds benefit the Class of 2013.
SAT Prep Class: A FREE prep class beginning next Monday! Week 1: M8 with Ms. Kohler for math. Week 2: E2 with Ms. Liddell for English. Classes meet 2:00-3:30 for 2 weeks. YOU MUST SIGN UP IN THE FINANCE OFFICE NO LATER THAN LUNCH FRIDAY!

ASB: Our first class competition day will be Friday, Sept. 14th, at lunch. Be sure to wear your class colors and support your team!!
Class of 2015: Meetings on Wednesdays starting Sept. 19th at lunch in C-1(ASB room). First order of business is nominations for class officers.
Class of 2015 & 2014: The classes of 2015 and 2014 will be selling class shirts for $10 in the black circle.
Cross Country: 9th & 10th graders! It’s not too late, you can still come out for cross country – see Coach Cleves in Rm. S-5
Open House is Wednesday, September 19. Information will be sent out soon.
NBC 7 Game of the Week: Your school has been selected for the chance to be featured as the NBC 7 “Game of the Week” for your September 21st football game. Starting at midnight this Sunday, Sept. 9th your matchup will be featured on the “Game of the Week” voting application hosted on NBC 7 San Diego’s Facebook page.<http://www.facebook.com/
If your matchup wins we will not only highlight your football team, but also highlight your school through live interviews with students during a visit by NBC 7’s Megan Tevrizian.
If your matchup gets the most votes, Megan will do live reports from your school either Thursday September 20th or Friday September 21st during NBC 7 News in the Morning.
On Friday night of September 21st, NBC 7 will shoot footage of your game, which will then be featured on NBC 7 News at 11 p.m. on Friday and in Sportswrap on Sunday.
