The responsibility of the School Site Council (SSC) is to analyze the academic achievement of the students at West Hills, including sub-groups, then develop plans to meet the needs identified by that data.
They will also work with other school advisory and parent groups, regarding developing/revising the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
The SSC will provide on-going monitoring of the implementation of the SPSA, evaluate the effectiveness of the SPSA and recommend the SPSA to the Board of Trustees for their approval.
The SSC will work with the district to ensure that the Title I improvement plans are appropriate and integrated into the SPSA.
Student representatives are elected members of the School Site Council. They are required to attend one monthly meeting to provide input on behalf of the students of West Hills.
