West Hills staff members can view the full leadership flow chart here. This document details the responsibilities and duties of the School Site Council, Department Chair Council, and the Leadership Team.
School Site Council
California Education Code (EC) Section 64001 requires that a SSC develop the SPSA. The SSC must approve the plan, recommend it to the local governing board for approval, monitor its implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of the planned activities at least annually. For specific details on the SSC, see Appendix F.
Department Chair Council
Provides educational leadership for West Hills, including developing professional development plan for the school and sharing of best practices. Departments will share their department goals and progress and challenges in meeting them.
Responsible for implementing and monitoring the Action Plan and reporting results to School Site Council. The former Data Team is incorporated into the Leadership Team.
