The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is an organization that accrediates high schools, colleges, and universities. Schools are asked to complete a self-study, where evaluate their philosophies, practices, successes and areas for improvement as a part of the accreditation process, and WASC works to ensure that schools do this in a meaningful and open way.
Accreditation means that a diploma from West Hills High School is a meaningful achievement in a student's next step of education and career plans.
The WASC Visiting Committee will be coming to West Hills High School from March 18-21. They will visit classrooms and speak with administrators, parents, students, and staff. They will also be visiting classrooms to see the work we do for our students.
