Hello Class of 2021 and Families,
We hope you are healthy and doing well in our blended and distance learning world. We miss you very much! Happy early Valentine’s Day weekend to all! We would like to provide you an update on the many traditional Senior activities.
Q: Will we have a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021?
A: We are working on that currently and the pandemic has really held us up with many plans. However, you can go online to www.sdgrad.com and order a class ring, Letterman Jacket, and/or a cap and gown (either a free loaner or one for purchase). All Seniors participating in any graduation must order their cap and gown (even if a free loaner). We communicate with the vendor Honor Grads so no one needs to indicate a color, just a size and whether you want to purchase or borrow one that has been cleaned and sanitized for free). You just search by our school name and purchase whatever you like. Graduation announcements can be your own design from any vendor or you can call 619-440-5426 to place an order with San Diego Grad. Supply. We also were told by District leadership that we are confirmed for Tuesday, June 8 at 8:30 a.m. for our graduation ceremony (although we currently do not know what form that might take). Need more information about ordering? Click HERE.
Q: Will we have a PROM for the Class of 2021?
A: We are continuing to follow local and state guidelines. At this time, we do not have a date and time scheduled as the pandemic has really held us up with any plans.
We also will be conducting the following events. Here are some important dates to know:
TBD: Senior Breakfast (details such as date, time, logistics to follow)
May 27, 6:00 p.m. Senior Awards (details to follow)
June 7, 10:00-12:00: Senior Send Off Parade (on campus; Students and families stay in cars)
June 8, 8:30 a.m: Graduation (details to follow based on public health guidelines)
In addition, Senior Class officers may have other activities planned that are not finalized yet. As soon as we can, we will add these to a Senior flier and send out via Infinite Campus email and portal messaging.
