Trade Programs
Our local community colleges offer many trade programs at a fraction of the cost of attending a private trade school. 
Students applying to a 2-year or community college directly from high school must meet their high school graduation requirements. 
Check which Community Colleges offer trade programs you are interested in!
 
 
Apprenticeship Programs
Apprenticeships offer opportunities to earn $$ while learning skills in a specific trade. While the requirements differ depending on the apprenticeship, the majority of programs require applicants to be 18 years old, posses a high school diploma, and pass a basic enterance exam.
 
 
Assessments and Testing

Assessments and Testing

For students applying to a trade proram at a 2-year/community college from high school, no entrance tests are required. Apprenticeship enterance exams are dependant on the specific program, but will require a basic knowledge of both English and Math.

Financial Aid

ALL STUDENTS should apply for Financial Aid through FAFSA regardless of if they are planning to attend a trade program or apply to an apprencticeship directly after high school! 
 
FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The federal government uses this form to determine your eligibility for financial aid, including grants, work-study, scholarships, and loans.
 

How to get started:

1. Both the student and parent/guardian will need to create an FSA ID before completing the FAFSA application. Create your FSA ID here.
2. Submit your FAFSA application
